What is Sani-Shield “Organosilane” Surface Coating Technology?
The Active EPA Registered Ingredient in Sani-Shield: (3-Trimethoxysilyl Propyl-dimethyl Octadecyl Ammonium Chloride). When polymerized to the surface, the organo-silane quaternary ammonium compound forms a durable, molecular and covalent barrier that is active. The bacteriostatic, fungistatic, algae-static barrier provides prolonged protection against the damaging affects of bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, algae and other microorganisms.
With periodic use it makes surfaces water, soil & stain repellent (hydrophobic), and “microbial” resistant to a variety of microorganisms.
